From the Guest Editor:

Last November our hearts went out to all members and llamas affected by the severe ‘Kaikoura’ earthquake. So, when Keith asked me to step in to produce the next Newsletter, I readily agreed. Now, four weeks on, I am in awe of the job that first Julie and then Lynn have done over the years in producing a regular Newsletter for members.

I have had to learn a lot about desktop publishing (who ever knew that the total number of pages must be divisible by four!), so I hope that this effort gets close to their standards. Huge thanks to all members who provided articles and photographs!

Highlights include excellent, timely contributions on re-homing, preparing for emergencies, learning about fleece testing, Barber’s Pole worm and, of course, the Canterbury Show, supplemented by snippets of news about, and photos of, llamas doing llama things. Hopefully you will enjoy reading it. Many thanks to Judy Webby for her assistance, and to Pat for her patience over the Christmas/New Year period.

Best wishes for 2017!
